A Registered Nurse (RN) - Neurological plays an important role in caring for patients with conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord, and nervous system. The nurse evaluates patient needs, performs neurological checks, administers medications and treatments, monitors recovery, and promptly reports significant changes in condition. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the RN helps coordinate care while providing education and emotional support to patients and families. Excellent assessment skills, communication, organization, and a commitment to quality patient care are key to this role.

Job Details:

The Registered Nurse (RN) - Neurological will provide skilled nursing care to patients in a hospital setting during a 13-week contract. The position offers $1,820.20 - $1,911.21 and follows a night schedule totaling 40 hours per week, including two 8-hour shifts and two 12-hour shifts. Weekends and holidays may be required, and the opportunity is local and traveler friendly.

Candidates must have at least two years of acute care hospital nursing experience in medical-surgical care as an RN, with strong experience caring for neurological patients and managing seizures. The RN will monitor patient conditions, provide appropriate nursing interventions, and collaborate with the healthcare team to support safe, quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized nursing care to patients in alcohol detoxification in an acute hospital setting.
• Monitor patient vital signs and symptoms to identify any complications.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and document patient responses.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on detox processes and aftercare instructions.
