Schedule: 19:00 – 07:00
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Candidate Type: Traveler
Requirements: Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment. BLS, NRP, & STABLE required. NICU II experience required. CPAP experience required. 2 years of experience required. Successful passage of the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms. Float to Postpartum and Labor and Delivery for neonatal care required. Must be proficient in: Respiratory Support via High Flow O2, CPAP, Bubble CPAP & Mechanical Ventilation; Management of Central Lines; Peripheral IV Insertions; Lab Draws; Administration of IV antibiotics; Increased knowledge of apnea and bradycardia related to the pre-term infant; Stabilization of newborns less than 32 weeks and preparation for transport to a Level III facility; Thermoregulation in the pre-mature infant and full-term infant related to passive cooling; Proficient in Neonatal resuscitation; must have NRP certification and S.T.A.B.L.E. certification. Shift Info: Day 3×12-Hour (07:00 – 19:00).

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain the stability of cardiopulmonary, neurologic, metabolic, and thermal functions in neonates.
• Assist with specialized procedures such as lumbar puncture and endotracheal resuscitation of newborns 32 weeks or greater.
• Initiate, modify, or stop treatment according to protocols or orders.
• Provide respiratory support using high-flow oxygen, CPAP, and mechanical ventilation.
• Manage neonatal procedures including central lines, IV insertions, and lab draws.
