Job Title: Certified Surgical First Assistant Surgical Services

Pay Range: 1670.71 – 1754.25
Schedule: 07:15 – 15:45
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Candidate Type: Traveler
Requirements: BLS; NBSTSA certification; CSFA, ABSA or similar; 2 years of Surgical First Assistant experience; broad Surgical First Assist experience with case experience in General Surgery, GYN, Neurosurgery/Spine, Orthopedics, Trauma and Urology; experience with total joints, breast procedures, plastics, rhinoplasty, laparoscopic procedures and robotic surgery; First Assist skills including tissue handling, clamping/cauterizing, suctioning/irrigation, wound closure, ligation, drainage tube placement, intraoperative functions; aseptic technique, instrument processing, isolation precautions, laser safety, sterilization/disinfection.
Responsibilities:
- Provide intraoperative first-assist functions across a variety of surgical cases.
- Support procedures in General Surgery, GYN, Neurosurgery/Spine, Orthopedics, Trauma, and Urology.
- Assist with robotic surgeries, including colorectal, gynecologic, and urologic procedures.
- Maintain sterile technique, handle tissues, clamp/cauterize, irrigate, and close wounds as required.
- Cover weekday, weekend, and holiday call shifts as scheduled.
