Job Title: LVN/LPN: Psych
Location: Carlsbad, Texas
Setting: Psych / Intellectual Disabilities
Pay Range: $1400 to $1650 weekly
Schedule: 4p-12a x 5 days a week, Weekends and Holidays as needed
Contract Length: 26 weeks
Candidate Type: Local and traveler friendly
Requirements:
- 1 years of experience as a LPN
- Qualified applicants MUST have at least 1 years of experience in Psych
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse license
- Be willing to obtain Texas and/or compact licensure

Responsibilities
As a healthcare professional in a Psychiatric facility, you’ll play a critical role in serving a unique and often underserved patient population. Your care will directly impact patient safety, wellness, and rehabilitation. A few of the responsibilities include:
* Provides psychiatric nursing care within scope of practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), including monitoring patient behavior, mood, and mental status and reporting changes to the treatment team.
* Administers medications and documents patient responses while supporting mental health treatment, therapeutic interventions, and adherence to individualized care plans.
* Maintains a safe and structured behavioral health environment by observing patients for safety risks, supporting de-escalation efforts, and assisting with crisis intervention as needed.
